The Calm

Summertime and the living's easy, right guys? I don't know about you, but this summer has personally been an amazing reflection time. I learned so much more about myself and the ones I love that I think was necessary for me to be at peace going back to nyc. Life isn't always clear or laid out perfectly for us, but that's what makes everyday and every season so interesting. 
While staying in this pure mindset, I've also been taking the time to dress simply. In the hot weather, it's easy to get caught up in doing the least, but the least doesn't have to mean plain or sloppy.
In honor of Raf joining the Calvin Klein powerhouse, I was inspired to pair my Calvin button down with denim shorts. Easy, simple- then accessorized with a vintage coin belt and bandana necktie. Throw on some wedges, and you're ready for any adventure your final summer days demand.

PJ Day

Okay, so we all know that pajama dressing was/still pretty much is a thing. With lounge pants and button down silk shirts finding their way into everyday life, fashionistas were sure to make this trend stick around. Since I LOVE everything about that, I was inspired by the flow and ease of the materials used in those types of clothing. I actually threw some lingerie pieces into my everyday dressing and had a lot of fun with it. Believe it or not I paired my denim with a silk shirt and poly robe. Of course I accessorized with my everyday rings, vintage braided choker and embellished belt. School's done; the sun is out longer; friends are home; summer is a time for no rules. So, I dare you to take a risk or two and spice up your wardrobe with a look you never thought you could try before!

Welcome Home, Summer

I absolutely love summer. A few obvious reasons being tan skin, old friends and fresh fruit- but mainly, I'm all over the comfort of summer clothes. Soft linens and light cottons make me so thankful I can finally ditch the wools and heavy layers. Recently, I have been having so much fun with lounge pants and dressing them up. This is a piece I got a few months back unsure of when I would be able to pull it out. I find it easy to take pants like these and either dress them up or down. The wedges and accessories made this a quick outfit for a lunch or party, but I would've loved wearing them just as much paired with my Birks and a white crop for a day trip to the beach or shopping.
